The Rift (1990)

An experimental submarine, the "Siren", comes to trouble and is lost. The "Siren II" is sent out with a NATO crew and the original designer of the Siren to find out what happened. They come across plant life that is impossible to find at the depth that they are at and a potential source for the black box for the Siren.

Not much to say about this one. It's a fun but average film.
